Final Evaluation

For my last song i performed on stage and this made me anxious as loads of peple were watching me and the lyrics flew out of my head

For our dress rehearsal performance we firstly sang the song Thinking Out Loud by Ed sheeran, this song went well because everyone stayed in time with each other, the singers ( Jenna and I ) stayed in tune and knew all the words in the right order. This was probably our best song.

Secondly we sang No Scrubs by TLC, This song was okay it started a little rough but we worked on it and it got better the more we got comfortable singing it. This was quite a difficult song as it is pretty quick and hard to find places to breathe when singing. Again we stayed in time with each other but I may have been a little quite as you may see from the recording.

After that we sang Wonderwall by Oasis, This song is a song that everyone in the group knew how to sing/play it sounded good but we had to drag it on a little bit by adjusting it we added in and extra verse and chorus so we would just make the 15 mins.

Then Jenna and I did our duet of When We Were Young by Adele, This is a very powerful and meaningful song you have to have the right voice that can pull it off, I mainly sung the chorus' and the pre chorus because I harmonised to Jenna to give it that little extra boost.

I then performed my solo of Adele's Someone Like You. This went well, but I looked very nervous performing without a 2nd singer to help me.

Future improvements and goals:

  • Project my voice louder: I will help calm the nerves before signing on stage so i can sing louder with no difficulties and if I'm having trouble with projection then i can always ask for the mic to be a little louder. To help with the nerves I will sing in front of people which should help me to not be afraid when walking onto the stage.
  • Memorise the lyrics: I will make sure that I learn all the words in a song so i don't even need the lyrics as back up because I ended up relying on them too much.
  • Improve when I come in: I could start songs with a count down. Not coming in together made us look unorganised.
